Artemis was in awe of the stars around aer. Ae was finally among them after countless tests, after waiting for robots to build the shuttle piece by piece, after the grueling countdown that could’ve been called off any second.
Artemis was here. Utterly peaceful and blissful, floating among aer loves.
And the stars finally had their darling as well.
They enveloped Artemis in their light, filling aer with a soft warmth outward and inward. Not a millimeter was neglected. They had over forty years to make up for. They refused to waste another second.
Artemis never touched the ground again.
