The infantilization of autistic people is (part of) why I refuse to get tested for autism. I am not sabotaging any future chance I may have of obtaining gender-affirming healthcare, being able to afford it, demand it, and obtain it will be hard enough as is.
I don’t feel like I need one tbh. All of the accommodations I need, I don’t need a doctor to sign off on. Pursuing an autism dx would just be a waste of time and money for me.
Also would they test me for “girl’s” autism or “boy’s” autism? Because binary cis people!
